Quilts from the Bluffs September 2016

Quilts from the Bluffs will hold their monthly quilt day this Saturday, September 10, at First Christian Church from 9:30-3:00 (Room C4 on the lower level.)  This month we will begin a new Churn Dash quilt as well as an old favorite, the Love Quilt.  All fabric, batting and patterns are supplied.  Bring your sewing machine and join us for a fun day of fellowship and quilting…and food, of course!

Quilt Like U Mean It! T-Shirts
If you ordered a t-shirt, I will have them for you this Saturday!

Charmed for Charity
Charmed for Charity continues to meet at Cut Up an Quilt on the third Wednesday of each month from 1:00-3:00 pm.  If you have the time, please join them in cutting, "kitting" and quilting our simple charmed for charity quilts.  Thank you to Karen Burns and Rachel Summy for their leadership of this group and to Cut Up & Quilt for their support.

Project Linus
There will be a Project Linus blanket making day on October 15 from 9:00-1:00.  This is held at Bryant High School in Bellevue.  This is a chance to help sew on labels on the blankets that are made during the day or quilts/blankets that are dropped off.  Bring your sewing machine.  They also have fabric that has been donated for the taking if you want to add to your charity fabric stash.

Harvest of Talents
First Christian Church sponsors a Harvest of Talents every other year that features a craft sale.  They are looking for items to be donated to this effort.  All proceeds will go to benefit Deaf Missions this year.  The craft sale is October 15.  You can bring your items to quilt day this month or next month.  You can also help by shopping at the sale!
